Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a skilled Data Engineer in Kraków to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will work with BigQuery as the primary data warehouse, model data, optimize queries, and ensure reliability across pipelines.

Collaboration with analytics, BI, and product teams is essential to deliver well-documented data assets. The role emphasizes hands-on data processing, CI/CD for data solutions, and IaC with Terraform, with requirements for 4+ years

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar production data work.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
• Experience with CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Knowledge of Terraform and IaC approaches.
• Experience with large data volumes and ensuring reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines based on Google Cloud Platform.
• Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse: data modeling and performance optimization.
• Integrate data from diverse sources (files, databases, APIs) and transform it.
• Orchestrate data workflows using Airflow/Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD solutions for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
• Ensure data quality and monitor pipelines; respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams to deliver well-documented data.
