Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, with BigQuery as the data warehouse and strong emphasis on data quality and reliability.

You will work with experts across analytics and product teams, implementing CI/CD for data solutions and applying IaC practices with Terraform. This role requires Polish and English proficiency and is based in Poland.

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar position working with data in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery data modeling and query optimization.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python in data processing and orchestration.
• Experience in workflow orchestration (Airflow / Cloud Composer).
• Experience implementing CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Previous work with large data volumes ensuring performance and reliability.
• Fluent communication in English; Polish language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse including data modeling and optimization.
• Integrate data from diverse sources and transform it for analytics.
• Orchestrate data workflows with Airflow / Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD solutions for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Ensure data quality, monitor pipelines, and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams to deliver reliable data assets.
• Help define best practices in data engineering and data architecture.
