Job summary

Lingaro in Poland seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement a complete GCP data ecosystem for client projects, including storage, processing, and analytics with BigQuery and cloud functions. You will gather requirements, model data from various sources, optimize pipelines with DBT/Dataform, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer with GCP-based infrastructure.
Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and cloud services.
Extensive experience in designing, building, and deploying cloud data pipelines.
Proficient in SQL and Python for data processing and scripting.
Experience with DBT and/or Dataform for data transformation.
Familiarity with ETL/ELT practices and data integration.

Responsibilities

Design, model and develop the GCP data ecosystem for client projects (Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, BigQuery).
Gather, analyze, model, and document business/technical requirements; direct client contact.
Model data from diverse sources; diagnose and fix high-impact data issues to deliver features.
Design and optimize data storage architectures (lakes, warehouses) with partitioning, indexing and caching.
Monitor performance, identify anomalies, perform root cause analysis for uninterrupted operations.
Train and mentor junior data engineers and share knowledge across teams.
