Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will model data in BigQuery, optimize queries, and ensure reliable data delivery.

You will orchestrate data workflows with Airflow/Cloud Composer, implement CI/CD for data solutions, and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform. English and Polish communication are essential in a multinational team.

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery (data modeling, query optimization) and Cloud Storage.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python in data processing and orchestration.
• Experience in workflow orchestration (Airflow / Cloud Composer).
• Experience implementing CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Experience handling large data volumes with focus on performance and reliability.
• Fluent English and Polish language skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse for modeling, querying and optimization.
• Integrate data from sources and orchestrate workflows with Airflow/Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform IaC approach.
• Ensure data quality and monitor pipelines, respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI and product teams to deliver robust data products.
• Contribute to data architecture development and define best practices in data engineering.
