Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team, focusing on GCP-based pipelines and BigQuery. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, collaborating with analytics and BI teams to deliver robust data products.

You will contribute to data architecture and best practices, with room to grow towards Data Engineering, Big Data, or ML track within a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
• Ability to design, build and maintain data pipelines (batch/streaming).
• Solid SQL and Python skills for data processing and orchestration.
• Experience with Airflow/Cloud Composer and CI/CD for data solutions.
• Familiarity with IaC (Terraform).
• Experience handling large data volumes with performance/reliability focus.
• Fluent English; Polish language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Model data in BigQuery, optimize queries and costs for performance.
• Ingest and transform data from various sources (files, databases, APIs, events).
• Orchestrate data workflows with Airflow/Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform IaC.
• Ensure data quality, monitor pipelines and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI and product teams on data delivery.
• Contribute to data architecture and best practices.
