Job summary

Box Poland is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to help expand our data platform capabilities. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines leveraging GCP BigQuery, Spark, and related technologies.

You will work with data engineers, analysts, and data scientists to deliver reliable data delivery, cultivate data-driven insights, and enable cross-functional teams with robust data tooling. Hybrid work arrangement preferred in Poland, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with large data sets and data platforms.
• Strong SQL and data manipulation skills.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Proficiency with Python or NodeJS for data tooling.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform components (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc).
• Familiarity with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience with visualization (Tableau) and frontend data apps (React).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes or Docker).
• Nice-to-have: Scala or Java familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to design scalable data pipelines.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for cleansing, transforming, and aggregating data.
• Define and implement data architecture for reliable data delivery across projects.
• Create data tooling to accelerate analytics and data science workflows.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across pipelines.
• Partner with product, analytics, and design teams to deliver insights.
