Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team, focusing on building scalable data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform and delivering reliable data products.

You will work with BigQuery, Airflow, and Terraform to model data, optimize queries, and maintain CI/CD for data pipelines, contributing to data governance and collaboration with analytics and product teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar position working with data in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, data modeling and Cloud Storage.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python in data processing and orchestration.
• Experience in workflow orchestration (Airflow / Cloud Composer).
• Experience implementing CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Experience with large data volumes ensuring performance and reliability.
• Fluent English communication; Polish language is required for Poland location.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse: modeling, querying, cost optimization.
• Integrate data from sources (files, databases, APIs, events) and transform it.
• Orchestrate data workflows using Airflow / Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
• Monitor data quality and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI and product teams to deliver robust data solutions.
• Contribute to data architecture and define best practices in data engineering.
