Job summary

GFT Poland is seeking an experienced senior data engineering lead to drive technical delivery of data migration and engineering initiatives. You will design scalable data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform, mentor engineers, and promote development standards within the Agile process.

Join a highly experienced team and contribute to impactful AI-enabled engineering workflows while working in a hybrid setup at Kraków based client offices.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in software design, data engineering and development in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with PySpark or Scala and data pipelines in GCP.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, YARN, Hive, ETL frameworks and data integration tools.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL and RESTful services; cloud architecture knowledge.
• Leadership ability to guide an engineering pod and mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for data migration projects and estimation.
• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using GCP, PySpark and Scala.
• Guide environment setup, architecture and cloud design patterns.
• Promote coding standards, conduct reviews and support knowledge sharing.
• Mentor engineers and oversee technical delivery of the pod.
