Job summary

Avon in Poland is hiring a GBS Finance Accountant to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant financial records across markets. You will support a Global Business Services team, contribute to reliable month-end close, and deliver high-quality financial reporting.

The role spans the full accounting cycle with broad exposure and visible business impact, requiring IFRS knowledge and strong Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in accounting or related finance discipline.
• 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit or reporting.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and internal controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems such as PeopleSoft.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end close activities in line with IFRS requirements.
• Manage COGS calculations and pension plan reporting.
• Handle accruals, adjustments, and debt ageing analysis.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Support fixed asset accounting and employee account reconciliations.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a GBS Finance Accountant, you’ll play an important role in ensuring Avon’s financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with global standards. You’ll support multiple markets and be part of a collaborative Global Business Services team, contributing to reliable month‑end close and high‑quality financial reporting. Your work will span the full accounting cycle, giving you broad exposure and the opportunity to make a visible impact on the business every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Supporting month‑end close activities in line with IFRS requirements.
• Managing COGS calculations and pension plan reporting.
• Handling accruals, adjustments, and debt ageing analysis.
• Processing invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Supporting fixed asset accounting and employee account reconciliations.
• Collaborating with internal teams and sharing knowledge across markets and functions.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Accounting or a related finance discipline.
• Around 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or reporting.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and internal controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems (such as PeopleSoft).
• Fluency in both English and Russian, written and spoken.
• Experience in a Big 4 or similar professional services environment is an advantage.
