Working within our Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting month-end close activities, preparing accounting entries, reconciliations, reporting, and financial commentary, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and internal controls. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with finance teams across multiple markets and functions, contributing to process improvements and helping drive operational excellence in a dynamic international environment.Please note that to be considered for this role, you must have the legal right to work in the country where this position is based.Key responsibilities:Performing accounting activities in line with standard operating procedures and corporate requirementsMaintaining accurate, complete, and up-to-date accounting records for assigned Avon marketsSupporting the month-end close process and ensuring actual financial results are delivered on time and to the required quality standardsPreparing and posting journal entries related to fixed assets, leases, payroll, prepayments, inventories, and other accounting transactionsManaging and calculating provisions and accruals, including obsolescence reserves, accounts receivable reserves, royalties, bonuses, pension plans, and other finance-related provisionsPerforming Chart of Accounts (CoA) maintenance activitiesPreparing and posting CAPEX reclassification journalsManaging and clearing balance sheet accounts and clearing accounts across multiple entities where requiredPreparing balance sheet account reconciliations and investigating reconciling items following month-end closeReviewing reconciliations completed by outsourced service providers and ensuring quality and accuracyPreparing data and inputs for corporate reporting webformsAnalysing financial results and preparing commentary to support Controlling CoEs and FP&A teamsExecuting and documenting internal controls related to accounting transactions and financial reportingCollaborating with Centre of Excellence teams, shared services, market finance teams, controllers, tax specialists, and internal control teams to ensure effective process executionWhat we're looking for:Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related disciplineProfessional accounting qualification or certification is an advantageAt least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a multinational organisationStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Record-to-Report processesExperience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activitiesGood knowledge of fixed assets, leases, provisions, and balance sheet accountingExperience working with accounting and financial systemsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and explain business resultsFluent English, both written and spokenStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive and solution-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality workLeadership potential and the ability to positively influence and collaborate with others across teamsWhat we offer:We offer a comprehensive benefits package along with wellness resources and work-life balance support in line with your country practices and Avon purpose aiming to help you live a healthier life, protect you and your dear ones, and ensure you’re at your best.At Avon, we believe beauty is for everyone and that it’s beautiful to be you.
