Job summary

HedgeServ is hiring a Fund Accounting Manager in Kraków to oversee the NAV calculation process and lead a team of up to 10 staff, ensuring accurate and timely client deliverables. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance, 6 years in hedge fund administration (1 at AM level), strong English communication, and a proactive leadership mindset with a focus on process

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance.
• 6 years’ experience in Hedge Fund Administration with at least 1 year at Assistant Manager level.
• Intention to actively pursue ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ACA; if not started, part qualified or qualified is a plus.
• IT literate.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good initiative and ability to escalate when needed.
• Demonstrate leadership and take ownership of designated tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build and support client relationships with the Fund Accounting Director to ensure consistent service.
• Ensure the fund accounting team operates within defined controls.
• Lead and support client teams of up to 10 employees.
• Resolve fund accounting enquiries escalated by management.
• Ensure timely NAV calculations and review performance metrics.
• Develop NAV calculation workflows and procedures.
• Review fee calculations and P&L allocations.
• Support audits and preparation of fund financial statements.
• Recruit, train and evaluate fund accounting staff.
• Handle complex client calls and collaborate across departments.
