Job summary

pubGENIUS is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to steer client engagements from first discussion to delivery. This part-time, hourly contractor role suits someone who understands how digital products are built and can challenge requirements, run discovery, and ensure shipping solves the client’s real problems.

You’ll manage multiple clients across time zones, lead discovery, break down requirements, run Agile ceremonies, and keep backlogs and roadmaps aligned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in PM, Business, or related field.
• ≥4 years PM experience in a digital agency.
• Presales: proposals, scoping, and discovery workshops.
• Strong product thinking and digital development knowledge.
• Backlog writing and Agile delivery experience.
• Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
• Experience with Web3/DeFi, fintech, or ecommerce a plus.
• Jira/Notion/Linear or similar tools familiarity.
• Fluent English; comfortable across US/Europe time zones.

pubGENIUS is a React.js + Next.js agency and Ad Tech startup building products for clients across the US and Europe. We are a global team spread across more than 15 countries. We specialize in AI, fintech, Ad Tech, igaming, and healthcare, with work in e-commerce as well. We are looking for an experienced Freelance Project Manager who has strong product management instincts and knows how to run client engagements from first conversation to final delivery. This is a part-time, hourly-based contractor role, offering flexibility for an experienced Project Manager who is looking to work with a global digital agency on a freelance basis. This is not a purely administrative project management role. We need someone who understands how digital products are built, can challenge requirements, run discovery, and make sure what gets shipped actually solves the right problem for the client.

What You'll Do

• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously across different industries and time zones, keeping scope, timelines, and budgets on track
• Work with clients to define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria from the very start of an engagement
• Lead the discovery phase with new clients, asking the right questions to understand their business needs before anything gets built
• Break down complex requirements into manageable iterations that the engineering team can execute against
• Own and maintain project documentation, backlogs, and roadmaps to keep everyone aligned throughout delivery
• Run Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and reviews
• Keep clients informed with regular, clear updates on project status, risks, and decisions
• Scope and price new engagements, contribute to project proposals, and support the presales process
• Work closely with design, engineering, and QA to make sure delivered features meet client expectations and real user needs
• Monitor project health using relevant KPIs and flag risks before they become problems
• Test completed features to verify they meet the agreed requirements before delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field
• At least 4 years of project management experience in a digital agency environment
• Hands-on experience with the presales process including writing proposals, scoping projects, and running discovery workshops
• Strong understanding of how digital products are built and a product management mindset to go with it
• Experience managing backlogs, writing user stories, and working within an Agile delivery process
• Comfort challenging client requirements and advocating for solutions that solve the actual business problem
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and clients at the same time without dropping the ball
• Background in Web3/DeFi, fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce is a strong plus
• Familiarity with project and product management tools such as Jira, Notion, Linear, or similar
• Ability work across US and European time zones
• Fluent English at C1 level or above with strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work
• Experience working with distributed international teams across multiple countries and time zones
