Job summary

Be | Shaping the Future Poland is seeking an Automation Expert to design, implement, and operate automated workflows inside ServiceNow, with a focus on network and security lifecycle processes. You will work with technologies such as ServiceNow, Ansible, Python, GitLab, NetBox, APIs, CyberArk, Infoblox, Checkmk, DNS, and CMDB platforms to build scalable automation solutions.

This role is remote from the EU and requires strong English; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and operating ServiceNow workflows.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Business Rules and API integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Python for automation.
• Experience in network automation and firewall-related processes.
• Familiarity with CMDB and infrastructure lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow workflows and orchestration processes.
• Create and enhance ServiceNow Business Rules and API integrations.
• Build and manage automation workflows for network provisioning, software updates, decommissioning, configuration hardening, firewall rule changes and audits.
• Configure and maintain orchestration and dashboard capabilities within ServiceNow.
• Extend and optimize Ansible playbooks for network automation and SDN environments.
• Implement automated change processes and synchronize NetBox, CMDB, DNS, monitoring platforms, CyberArk and other connected systems.
• Generate automated validation and change documentation.
• Provide technical documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.

We are looking for an experienced Automation Expert with strong expertise in ServiceNow workflow automation and a solid background in network and firewall environments.

In this role, you will design, implement, and operate automated workflows and business rules within ServiceNow, supporting network and security lifecycle processes. You will work with technologies such as ServiceNow, Ansible, Python, GitLab, NetBox, APIs, CyberArk, Infoblox, Checkmk, DNS, and CMDB platforms to build scalable and traceable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow workflows and orchestration processes.
• Create and enhance ServiceNow Business Rules and API integrations.
• Build and manage automation workflows supporting: Network provisioning | Software updates | Decommissioning | Configuration hardening | Firewall rule validation and changes | Audits and health checks.
• Configure and maintain orchestration and dashboard capabilities within ServiceNow.
• Extend and optimize Ansible playbooks for network automation and Software Defined Networking (SDN) environments.
• Implement automated change processes and maintain synchronization across: NetBox | CMDB | DNS | Monitoring platforms | CyberArk | Other connected systems.
• Generate automated validation and change documentation.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Workflow Design
• Experience developing and maintaining ServiceNow Business Rules
• Integration experience with APIs and third‑party platforms
• Solid knowledge of Ansible, Python, and GitLab
• Experience with network automation and firewall‑related processes
• Understanding of CMDB and infrastructure lifecycle management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with NetBox
• Experience with CyberArk, Infoblox, Checkmk, and DNS integrations
• Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN)
