We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on management position with responsibility for the company’s accounting operations, statutory reporting, tax compliance and financial closing processes.
The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams in an international and dynamic business environment, while taking ownership of key accounting processes and ensuring compliance with Polish regulations and company policies.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to Management.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare timely management reports, statutory financial statements and supporting analyses.
- Take a hands-on role in accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and Group policies.
- Monitor and manage budgets, cost control, cash flow, liquidity and working capital, identifying variances, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of statutory, tax and regulatory reports for Polish entities, including VAT, CIT, WHT and transfer pricing.
- Coordinate external and internal audits, including preparation of supporting documentation, communication with auditors and advisers, and follow-up on findings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax and financial regulations, monitor regulatory changes and update finance policies and procedures accordingly.
- Maintain and improve financial systems, processes and internal controls, ensuring data accuracy and effective cooperation with IT, Group Finance and other stakeholders.
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, training and performance management, while remaining hands-on in operational finance activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, including managerial experience.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling, and budgeting.
- Familiarity with financial systems and software applications (Navision will be big advantage).
- Strong knowledge of Polish accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and Polish and EU tax regulations.
- Strong practical knowledge of VAT, CIT, excise and other relevant tax requirements.
- Proven experience in month-end and year-end closing, statutory reporting, reconciliations, and audit processes.
- Experience with KSeF and JPK reporting requirements in Poland will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken (B2/C1 at least).
- Hands-on experience working in a lean finance environment, with the ability to independently manage accounting activities and take ownership of accounting processes.
- Experience supervising or coordinating accounting team members and/or shared services teams.
- Strong analytical, organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Driving licence (Category B) (working on site from the office in Wiktorów pow. wołomiński).
