Job summary

Saargummi Iberica SA. is seeking an Accountant / Junior Accountant to join the Finance Team in Poland.

You will support daily accounting operations, ensure accurate records, and assist with VAT and statutory reporting in an international manufacturing setting. The role offers exposure to modern accounting processes, collaboration across departments, and opportunities for professional growth within Finance and Accounting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Experience in accounting roles welcome for both experienced and junior candidates
• Knowledge of Polish VAT and tax regulations
• Good command of English, written and spoken
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records
• Verify accounting documents and transactions in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Assist with VAT and CIT settlements and statutory reporting
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses
• Maintain accounting records related to fixed assets and expenses
• Cooperate with external auditors, banks, and public institutions
• Support process improvement and automation within accounting
• Develop and update internal accounting procedures
• Collaborate with departments to provide accounting support
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements
• Contribute to projects related to digitalization in Finance

We are looking for an Accountant / Junior Accountant to join our Finance Team and support the day-to-day accounting activities of our growing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional who would like to develop their accounting expertise in an international manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.
• Verify accounting documents and transactions in accordance with accounting and tax regulations.
• Assist with VAT and CIT settlements and statutory reporting.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
• Maintain accounting records related to fixed assets and business expenses.
• Cooperate with external auditors, banks, and public institutions.
• Support the continuous improvement and optimization of accounting processes.
• Assist in developing and updating internal accounting procedures.
• Collaborate closely with various departments to provide accounting and financial support.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and corporate standards.
• Contribute to projects related to process automation and digitalization within the Finance function.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Experience in accounting (both experienced Accountants and promising Junior Accountants are welcome to apply)
• Knowledge of accounting principles and Polish tax regulations, particularly VAT
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered an advantage
