Job summary

Soda is hiring a Finance & AI Automation Intern to run core finance processes across three entities and automate manual work. You’ll apply AI tools and build robust checks, reconciliations, and documentation while learning fast and delivering with accuracy.

The role supports Belgian and US entities, in a fully remote or near-Amsterdam hybrid setup. You’ll join a small, globally distributed finance team that values initiative, ownership, and data-driven decisions, working with modern automation

Qualifications

• Finance-focused degree or in-progress study in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
• Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) and/or built automations, scripts, or advanced spreadsheets and explain outputs
• Strong accuracy mindset with careful verification of numbers before sign-off
• Ability to pick up GitHub, MCP integrations, and finance systems without formal training
• Proactive identification of manual bottlenecks and automation opportunities
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Open to fully remote work from any compatible time zone or hybrid near Amsterdam

Responsibilities

• Run core finance processes: invoice processing, month-end reporting, payroll data preparation, expense management, and intercompany recharges
• Automate processes using Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub, and the Soda MCP or smart spreadsheets when appropriate
• Build checks, reconciliations, and controls into automated workflows
• Document processes so colleagues and AI agents can follow
• Support broader Finance team with reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc projects across Belgian and US entities
