Job summary

Apogee Sustainability Limited seeks an Automation Technician to support Energy Drive’s engineering, maintenance, and IoT teams. You will deliver hands-on expertise across PLC & VFD systems, energy meters, and on-site IoT infrastructure, contributing to safer, more reliable energy performance.

The role covers field execution through build, commissioning, and operations, including post-install maintenance and analytics. Some EU/UK travel may be required to support global projects.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering background with automation focus.
• Proficient in PLC/HMI/VFD programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation and networking.

Responsibilities

• Represent engineering during FAT and assist site testing.
• Install/configure PLCs, HMIs, energy meters, and networks.
• Commission VSDs for motor protection and reliability.
• Standardize PLC/HMI code libraries and templates with the EDS Group.
• Drive continuous improvement for safety, quality, and energy performance.
• Assess customer requirements and integrate into projects.
• Collaborate with client staff to promote Energy Drive partnerships.
• Maintain safety policies and ensure compliant work environments.
• Meet KPI targets including timely C5/C4 milestones.
• Provide documentation updates and knowledge transfer.
