Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans is seeking a Failure Analysis Process Engineer to join the Prevention, Failure Analysis & QM-System Team in the Quality Department at our Jawor facility in Poland. You will analyze complex product and process issues, initiate corrective actions, and document lessons learned to drive lasting quality improvements.

You will coordinate error handling across production, engineering and development, manage projects, and support quality approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Automotive Technology or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in cross-departmental and cross-plant collaboration, particularly with development departments.
• Fluent in English (German would be an advantage).
• Experience with Mercedes-Benz or other automotive products and processes (Bodyshop, Assembly).
• Knowledge of quality management tools.
• Analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills.
• Team spirit and collaboration.
• Independent, goal-oriented, and results-driven work style.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct complex analyses on product and process issues, initiate corrective actions and manage them through to implementation, effectiveness monitoring, and documenting lessons learned.
• Coordinate error handling and ensure the flow of information with other departments, from production and engineering to development, as well as across plants (worldwide). Document these topics in the system.
• Independent planning, management, and control of projects within your own area of responsibility.
• Participate in the planning and execution of quality approvals.
