Job summary

Jit Team is seeking a data engineering professional to work on a banking risk management project. You will design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and SQL, while collaborating with finance, treasury, and risk teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

The role emphasizes data governance, regulatory compliance, and delivering reliable data models for analytical reporting, with a hybrid work model across several Polish cities and potential remote work.

Qualifications

• Strong Snowflake, SQL, and enterprise data warehousing experience.
• Extensive ETL/ELT development and data transformation experience.
• Knowledge of banking processes, including Balance Sheet Management, Stress Testing, Risk Management, and Regulatory Reporting.

Salary: 1200-1500 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: Hybrid in Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warsaw, or Łódź (2-3 days per week from the office), with the possibility of remote work.

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on banking risk management, balance sheet stress testing, and regulatory reporting, combining advanced data engineering with business analysis to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities You'll Have

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and SQL.
• Analyze banking business requirements related to balance sheet stress testing, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance, treasury, and risk teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Build and optimize data models supporting financial analysis, stress testing, and management reporting.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, aggregation, and quality checks across multiple source systems.
• Ensure data governance, lineage, and compliance with banking regulatory requirements.
• Investigate data discrepancies, challenge business assumptions, and drive improvements in data processing.
• Support end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering and analysis to implementation and production deployment.

Expected competences and knowledge

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, and enterprise data warehousing.
• Extensive experience in ETL/ELT development and data transformation.
• Solid understanding of banking processes, particularly Balance Sheet Management, Stress Testing, Risk Management, Treasury, Liquidity, and Regulatory Reporting.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process analysis, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with complex data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and aggregation across multiple source systems.
• Knowledge of financial data modeling and data preparation for analytical models.
• Understanding of data quality, governance, data lineage, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as EBA, ECB, Basel, ICAAP, ILAAP, or IRRBB.
• Experience with Data Vault, dimensional modeling, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
