Job summary

Aptiv in Kraków is seeking a seasoned Test Equipment Engineer to drive cross-functional requirements, design and industrialize test gear, and improve cycle time and costs. You will collaborate across calibration, testing, programming, labeling, and safety disciplines.

You will develop equipment specifications, share best practices with global teams, and train fellow engineers, leveraging 5+ years in measuring technologies, instrumentation, and automotive protocols. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in measuring technologies and principles.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages.
• Understanding of automotive industry communication protocols.
• Experience with instrumentation and EU machine safety standards.
• Automotive background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to manage requirements including calibration, testing, programming, labeling, functional safety, and cybersecurity.
• Develop specifications for end-of-line test equipment per Aptiv specs.
• Design and industrialize test equipment aligning with Lean manufacturing, improving cycle time, cost, and coverage.
• Share best practices and lessons learned with global teams, including MTT group.
• Acquire and maintain standards for test procedures and equipment.
• Be the customer contact to represent test concepts and planning status.
• Provide technical trainings to fellow test engineers.

Job description

YOUR ROLE

• Cross-function collaboration for proper requirements management, including calibration, testing, programming, product labeling, functional safety and cyber security, etc.
• Develop specifications for EOL test equipment in accordance with customer and Aptiv specifications.
• Design and industrialize test equipment in accordance to Lean manufacturing, continuously improve cycle time, machine cost and test coverage.
• Best practice and Lessons learned exchange globally, including active cooperation with MTT group.
• Acquire and maintain standards for test procedures and test equipment.
• Customer contact to represent the required test concept and the planning status.
• Provide technical trainings to other test engineers.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor degree and above for similar with technical education
• Minimum 5 years experiences in measuring technologies and principles
• Good Knowledge in programming languages
• Good knowledge in communication protocols of automotive industry
• Experience in instrumentation as well as machine safety in accordance to EU standards
• Background in automotive industry is preferred
• Business fluent English
• Good communication skills
• Good project management skills
• Strong problem solving capability
• Ability to work in a global network environment
