Job summary

Aptiv PLC in Poland is seeking a Test Development Engineer to design and implement advanced test processes for mass production of cutting-edge mobility and sensing technologies. You will lead equipment acquisition, develop test software (C/C++, Python), install and debug test rigs, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards while collaborating across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
• Strong software development skills in C, C++, or Python.
• Experience with test automation platforms, ideally NI TestStand and LabVIEW.
• Solid understanding of electronic measurement devices and test equipment.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical design for test fixtures.
• Initial experience in project management with organized approach.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on debugging.
• Ability to collaborate in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, results-driven work style.
• Fluent in Polish and business English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the acquisition of new test-equipment and ensure compliance with timing.
• Develop and optimize test software/programs for functional & electrical tests.
• Install, debug and release test equipment with QA considerations.
• Establish documentation and provide training for test equipment and processes.
• Ensure test equipment compliance with product quality, safety, and cost goals.
• Facilitate test coverage analysis and ensure proper coverage.
• Support product development and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering using Six Sigma, FMEA, etc.

As a Test Development Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and implementing advanced test processes that bring innovative products to life in mass production. You’ll be part of a global, diverse, and collaborative team, driving excellence in manufacturing and making a real impact on the future of mobility and intelligent systems.

Your Role:

• Lead the acquisition of new test-equipment (Statement of work, Request for quotation, supplier nomination, design reviews, Equipment acceptance at supplier) and ensure compliance with industrialization timing.

• Be responsible to develop and optimize test software/programs for functional & electrical tests

• Cooperate with the Aptiv manufacturing location to install, debug and release the test-equipment (including Test Software development, strain measurements, process capability studies, Environmental Health and Safety review / release).

• Establish documentation and provide training for test-equipment and process in accordance to APTIV guidelines

• Ensure test equipment compliance in terms of product quality, test requirements (Functional safety, CyberSecuirty, customer requirements), and costs

• Facilitate test coverage analysis process, ensure appropriate test coverage for the assigned test process

• Support product development team and collaborate closely with Lead Manufacturing Engineer to ensure flawless launches by applying and supporting tools like (P-FMEA, Error proofing, Test coverage analysis, Six Sigma)

Your background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, combined with relevant professional experience

• Strong software development skills, particularly in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python

• Experience with test automation platforms, ideally National Instruments TestStand and LabVIEW

• Solid understanding of electronic measurement devices and test equipment

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical design for test fixtures and setups

• Initial experience in project management with a structured and organized work approach

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including hands‑on experience in software debugging

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment

• Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑driven work style

• Fluent in Polish and business English
