Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking an experienced Accountant (Europe Focus) to join our Finance Team in Lublin on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support month-end close, post GL entries and reconcile accounts while collaborating with an international team.

The role requires Polish and English fluency, a university degree in accounting/finance, and strong MS Excel skills. The position starts onsite in Lublin with a transition to hybrid work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Fluency in Polish and very good English; German an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close with timely GL entries and reconciliations.
• Post expenses and supplier invoices in line with procedures and local regulations.
• Perform AP subledger reconciliations; ensure balance accuracy.
• Respond to vendor queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with European entities on approvals, coding and invoices.
