Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking a Payroll & Financial Accountant – CE Europe to join our European Finance Team in Lublin. You will manage payroll accounting across multiple European countries, ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, and support month-end and year-end close processes.

The role requires strong knowledge of payroll accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and experience with outsourced payroll providers, ERP systems and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or related discipline.
• Strong payroll accounting principles, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Experience with outsourced payroll providers and multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced MS Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll accounting across Poland, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands.
• Prepare and post payroll journals; ensure compliance with internal policies and local requirements.
• Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts (payroll, tax, social security, pension).
• Assist month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities with timely reconciliations.
