Job summary

Bain & Company in Warsaw, Poland, seeks an Accountant in General Accounting to join the EMEA Finance GBS hub. Own General Ledger activities across EMEA, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, with close collaboration with Finance Managers and Directors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 2–3 years of General Ledger experience, plus strong Excel and English (C1). Polish is a plus. Hybrid work model with at least two days in the office and SAP exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in accounting systems; SAP S/4HANA Cloud is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills with large datasets.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent command of English (C1); Polish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage bank reconciliations and posting of bank statements.
• Prepare and post journal entries including payroll, accruals and adjustments.
• Review outstanding items and update accrual schedules.
• Generate and review trial balance reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of cash and balance sheet accounts.
• Support audit activities, asset reviews, and disposals.
• Assist with ad hoc finance requests and reporting as needed.
