Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking an AP Junior Accountant - Europe to join the Finance team in Lublin. You will support the Accounts Payable function across Europe, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.

Working with internal stakeholders and vendors, you will help maintain strong financial controls while contributing to the continuous improvement of AP processes. Fluent Polish and English are required; knowledge of German would be an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and VAT/tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent Polish and English language skills.
• German knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify and process supplier invoices in accordance with company policies.
• Validate vendor details, purchase orders, tax information and payment terms.
• Post invoices and credit notes into the accounting system.
• Prepare and process vendor payments in a timely manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organised accounting records and documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in preparing reports and analyses related to AP activities.
• Support audits by providing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
