Job Description

As an ERP Lead Solution Architect, you will own the architectural direction and technical quality of solutions within the Asset Management, Leasing, and Investment Management domains. You will combine deep SAP S/4HANA expertise with technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, compliant, and aligned with long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Design

• Design and guide scalable, maintainable SAP S/4HANA solutions based on clean-code principles and enterprise architecture standards.


• Define data architectures, integration patterns, and technical designs for complex business requirements.


• Collaborate closely with developers and consultants on technical design decisions and complex integrations.


• Evaluate business requests and recommend solutions that balance business needs with long-term IT stability.

Technical Leadership & Team Enablement

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to an agile team of SAP consultants and developers.


• Promote clean-code practices, architectural standards, and engineering best practices.


• Lead architectural reviews, design discussions, and technical decision‑making processes.


• Foster a culture of technical ownership, continuous improvement, and high‑quality solution delivery.

Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership

• Work closely with Global Business teams, Business Value Stream Leads, and Product Owners.


• Translate complex Asset Management, Leasing, and Investment Management requirements into effective SAP S/4HANA solutions.


• Act as a trusted technical advisor, challenging requirements and proposing efficient, future‑proof alternatives.


• Align business priorities with technical capabilities and architectural strategy.

Regulatory Governance & Compliance

• Ensure solutions comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards, including GxP, GDPR, FDA, and EMA requirements.


• Embed Computer System Validation (CSV), data governance, access controls, and traceability into the solution lifecycle.


• Ensure solutions remain secure, compliant, and audit‑ready.


• Promote reusable and well‑governed data products across the enterprise landscape.


• Define and drive the long‑term architectural vision for Asset Management, Leasing, and Investment Management.


• Evaluate emerging technologies, integration frameworks, and SAP S/4HANA ecosystem capabilities.


• Identify and prevent technical debt while promoting architectural consistency.


• Ensure the technology landscape can adapt to future business growth and changing regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.


• At least 7 years of experience in Solution Architecture or a similar technical leadership role within complex SAP S/4HANA environments.


• Strong expertise in Asset Management, Leasing, and Investment Management processes and solutions.

Technical & Regulatory Expertise

• Proven experience designing and governing enterprise‑scale SAP S/4HANA solutions.


• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, data architecture, and integration/middleware patterns.


• Practical experience working in regulated environments, preferably within Pharma or Biotech.


• Knowledge of GxP, Computer System Validation (CSV), GDPR, and relevant regulatory standards.


• Understanding of clean‑code principles, software engineering best practices, and scalable solution design.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and guide technical teams, including developers and SAP consultants.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to challenge business requirements constructively and translate them into effective technical solutions.


• Experience working in international, multicultural, and onsite‑offshore environments.

Methodologies & Tools

• Experience working in Agile and SAFe delivery environments.


• Familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow.


• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and modern SAP architecture.
