Job summary

CreatorIQ is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a full‑stack team responsible for building and scaling our payments platform, a high‑scale, business‑critical system processing millions of dollars in transactions daily. You’ll partner with Product and other engineers to drive the technical direction and ensure reliability at scale.

This leadership role combines strong people management with hands‑on engineering expertise across a mature tech stack, including JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, MSSQL,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with backend or full-stack focus.
• 2+ years in engineering management or technical leadership.
• Strong design/operational experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and APIs/SOA.
• Familiarity with AWS or major cloud platforms and messaging systems.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive high engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of full‑stack engineers with clear ownership.
• Own the technical execution and quality of the payments platform.
• Partner with Product to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Define architecture and direction for a high‑scale payments system.
• Ensure correctness, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Drive performance improvements, monitoring, and incident response.
• Coach, hire, and onboard engineers as the Payments team grows.
• Promote AI-enabled development practices to boost velocity and quality.
