Allegro Ltd. in Warsaw is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead backend teams powering our delivery costs settlements and partner billing platform.

You will steer technical strategy, delivery, and collaboration with Product Management and Senior Leadership to scale financial and logistics systems. Ideal candidates have strong JVM backend experience, leadership across multiple teams, and fluency in Polish and English.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multiple backend teams in a large tech org.
• Strong backend development background with JVM (Java/Kotlin).
• Experience with distributed systems, finance, or logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap for settlement and carrier integration systems.
• Lead and support multiple backend teams, ensuring high delivery standards and technical excellence.
• Oversee reliability and accuracy of high-scale financial settlement flows and partner billing platforms.
• Bridge senior stakeholders, product managers, and engineering with clear, reliable solutions.
• Drive predictable delivery, manage cross-domain dependencies, and monitor system health metrics.
• Collaborate with leadership to foster a high-performing engineering culture and leadership within teams.
