Allegro is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead backend teams focusing on settlement and logistics platform development. You will drive technical strategy, scale distributed services, and align with product goals, bridging technical excellence with business outcomes.

You will guide leaders, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product Management and Senior Leadership to ensure delivery predictability and system resilience in a fast-paced e-commerce ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience as Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or similar leadership role guiding multiple backend teams.
• Strong backend engineering background (JVM, Java or Kotlin) and modern architectural patterns.
• Experience with high-scale distributed systems, financial or logistics domains is a plus.
• Excellent business acumen and communication, able to work with senior leadership.
• Passion for people leadership, mentoring, and autonomous, delivery-focused culture.
• Fluent in Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap and architecture strategy for settlement and carrier integration systems in collaboration with Product and Business partners.
• Lead and support multiple backend engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and high delivery standards.
• Oversee reliability and accuracy of high-scale financial settlement flows and partner billing platforms.
• Bridge senior stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Drive predictable engineering delivery, manage cross-domain dependencies, and track health metrics.
• Collaborate with leadership to build a high-performing engineering culture and develop leadership talent.
