Job summary

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Warsaw seeks an Analyst to support the Energy team within Evaluation Sustainability Department. You will contribute to environmental and social appraisal and monitoring of the Bank's portfolio, ensuring compliance with ESP and related standards.

The role requires collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, strong analytical skills, and fluent English; local language knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental and/or social sciences, economics, engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of environmental and social risks.
• Knowledge of international good practice environmental, social and climate standards/guidelines (e.g. ESP, IFC PS, Equator Principles, CSRD, TCFD, TNFD, ISSB).
• Understanding of the countries in which the Bank operates.
• Effective time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English; local language proficiency advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support ESP compliance assessment, E&S risks, climate and nature risks, and green finance attribution.
• Conduct ESD research, review documents, analytics, and draft publications.
• Coordinate meetings and events for ESD/Bank staff when required.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders under guidance of senior specialists.
• Contribute to improving internal processes and data management.
