Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead pre- and post-contract commercial activities across Europe for high-profile workplace projects. You will work with clients, consultants and suppliers to ensure value and profitability, from tender through to final account.

The role demands strong negotiation, budgeting and procurement skills, with experience in interiors or design & build. You will travel as required and enjoy a collaborative, hybrid working culture with clear career

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within commercial fit-out, interiors or design & build.
• Experience across pre-contract and post-contract stages.
• Sound understanding of commercial contracts and procurement practices.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering commercial office or corporate interior projects.
• Excellent commercial acumen and financial management capability.
• Comfortable working across multiple projects and jurisdictions.
• European project experience would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Contract: support tender and bid submissions.
• Review contract terms and commercial risks.
• Develop project budgets, cost plans and procurement strategies.
• Collaborate with pre-construction, design and operations during bid stages.
• Assist with value engineering and commercial solutions.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Post-Contract: manage commercial performance during delivery.
• Oversee subcontract procurement and account management.
• Administer contract obligations, variations and change control.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow and forecasting.
• Prepare valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
• Support operations to maximise project profitability.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
