Job summary

Sumitomo SHI FW in Sosnowiec, Poland, is seeking an experienced Electrification Designer to join our engineering team. You will design electrification solutions for industrial projects and contribute to greenfield, brownfield, and service assignments in an international environment.

The role requires 5–10 years in electrical engineering or electrification design, a strong background in switchgear and motor drives, and fluent English and Polish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in electrical engineering, electrification design, or industrial power systems.
• Strong capability in dimensioning and specifying electrical switchgear and motor drive systems.
• Experience in preparing technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Ability to support procurement and purchasing activities from a technical perspective.
• Fluent communication in English and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrification solutions for industrial projects.
• Dimension and specify low- and medium-voltage switchgear.
• Dimension and specify motor control systems and electrical drives.
• Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Review technical solutions for compliance with standards.
• Support purchasing activities as electrical technical expert during supplier selection.
• Collaborate with project managers, process & automation engineers, suppliers and customers.
