Job summary

Trident BMC Sp. z o. o., a part of Trident Maritime Systems, is seeking a Lead/Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Gdansk team and drive electrical design for offshore wind projects.

You will lead engineering activities, manage interfaces across disciplines, and ensure technically sound and commercially competitive solutions for offshore wind deployments. The role requires strong English, a track record in offshore electrical projects, and the ability to travel for project-related activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with offshore wind farms and offshore infrastructure is advantageous.
• Knowledge of IEC and CE standards.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and LV distribution.
• Ability to communicate with clients and stakeholders.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Lead / Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Gdansk and support the development of offshore wind projects.

In this role, you will combine your strong electrical engineering background with project and technical leadership. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-sales activities, cost estimation, and preparation of technical and commercial offers through to engineering and project delivery. You will work closely with clients, engineering disciplines, and project teams to develop technically sound and commercially competitive solutions for offshore wind projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities within offshore wind projects
• Take technical responsibility for the electrical scope from basic design through to detailed engineering
• Develop and review electrical engineering documentation, specifications, calculations and technical reports
• Translate client requirements into practical technical solutions
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, structural, marine and offshore disciplines
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and designers
• Review and approve technical documentation and engineering deliverables
• Participate in technical discussions with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Support project planning, scheduling and coordination of electrical engineering activities
• Identify technical risks, interfaces and potential project issues, and contribute to their resolution
• Participate in design reviews, inspections, meetings and business trips when required
• Contribute to improving engineering standards, processes and best practices within the electrical discipline

Job requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably within offshore wind, offshore energy or a related industry
• Experience with offshore wind farms and associated offshore infrastructure, including offshore substations, electrical systems, cable systems, foundations/monopiles and other offshore structures will be an advantage
• Knowledge of IEC, CE and other relevant international standards
• Good understanding of electrical systems, power distribution and electrical equipment used in offshore applications
• Experience with LV systems, power distribution, cable systems and electrical interfaces
• Experience with offshore substations, offshore platforms or other offshore energy installations will be an advantage
• Good understanding of engineering documentation and design processes
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related meetings and inspections
