Workplays is seeking a DevOps Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for internal development tools and build systems across the group. The role focuses on leadership, delivery ownership, and stakeholder alignment to ensure scalable, reliable development infrastructure in Warsaw.

The position requires strong DevOps knowledge, experience shipping software, and proven team leadership. It is an in-office hybrid role in Warsaw, with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Manager or Lead.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience shipping games or software products.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles.
• Strong command of Source Control Management systems (Perforce, Git).
• Ability to proactively take ownership, set goals, and drive initiatives independently.
• Proven track record of effective collaboration, supporting colleagues, and achieving shared goals.
• Ability to adjust to shifting priorities, handle ambiguity, and excel under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Developing, motivating and energizing the team.
• Having regular 1-1s with team members.
• Cultivating the team culture in line with the company’s values and goals.
• Cascading and escalating information.
• Responsible for talent acquisition, performance evaluation, professional development, and employee engagement within the team.
• Optimizing team processes.
• Working closely with IT and various development teams.
• Filtering inbound requests to ensure focus for the development team.
• Creating and maintaining documentation and other team artifacts.
