Job summary

Shiji Group, a global software provider for hospitality and retail, is seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to join its Daylight PMS team. You will extend and maintain infrastructure as code, manage deployments of microservices, and support AWS/Kubernetes/ECS operations in a collaborative agile environment.

The role emphasizes IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins), incident response, and close work with developers to ensure performance, reliability, and rapid delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-year experience in similar position and minimum 5 years of experience in IT industry.
• Good experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Good experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience in implementing IaC using Terraform.
• Experience with AWS networking and security.
• Experience with shell scripting (bash and/or PowerShell).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Proactive attitude and continuous improvement.

Daylight PMSis a distributed system that serves the hospitality industry. It is a solution that allows hotel employees or hotel managers to handle various activities such as managing reservations, payments and hotel services within the hotel or between hotels. The system consists of many domain-oriented microservices developed under a few cross-functional teams.

• Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with developers to understand their needs and provide operational support.
  
• Environment Management: Maintain and monitor application environments across different AWS regions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  
• Infrastructure Updates: Implement and manage infrastructure changes and updates using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  
• Continuous Integration and Deployment: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments using tools like GitLab CI.
  
• Incident Response: Actively participate in incident management processes and ensure quick resolution of operational issues.
