Job summary

Onhires seeks a Head of DC Infrastructure to lead the on-site engineering team responsible for MEP systems in a large-scale AI data center project in Poland. The role focuses on reliability, preventive maintenance, and handover for expansions, with regular travel to the construction site.

Candidates should have 7+ years in critical infrastructure and 3+ years in leadership, hands-on with cooling, power, UPS, and generators, and experience with SOPs, incident response, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in critical infrastructure/facilities/MEP engineering
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Hands-on experience with cooling, power, UPS, and generators
• Experience developing SOPs/MOPs/EOPs for critical facilities
• Proven incident response and root-cause analysis experience
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and vendor relations
• Willingness to travel regularly to Poland site
• English proficiency for international communications

Responsibilities

• Build and lead on-site engineering team for MEP systems (cooling, power, UPS, generators)
• Own day-to-day reliability of all MEP systems at the site
• Develop SOPs/MOPs/EOPs for cooling and electrical operations
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for MEP outages
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and maintenance schedules
• Coordinate maintenance windows and redundancy switching
• Manage vendor/contractor relationships for MEP maintenance
• Support commissioning of new MEP infrastructure and expansions
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance
• Manage on-call rotations and emergency coverage
