Job summary

Amentum seeks a Mission Critical Construction Manager (MEP) to lead on-site teams from 6AM, coordinating internal and subcontractor crews on critical datacenter projects. You will drive safety, schedule, and quality across BMS/EPMS, mechanical, electrical, and structural scopes.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in mission-critical construction, live datacenter experience, and the ability to interpret diagrams, coach trades, and travel to sites. This role is based in the Northern Virginia area.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years or more of Mission Critical and Data Center construction field management experience.
• Experience working in live datacenters required.
• Experience running crews in live datacenter environments required.
• Thorough experience with construction, safety, and quality best practices.
• Reading one-line diagrams and P&ID/BMS controls diagrams.
• Ability to travel to project sites and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Full time on-site beginning at 6AM.
• Coordinate and support internal and subcontractor teams on mission critical renovation/upgrade projects including BMS, EPMS, mechanical, electrical, and structural scopes.
• Maintain safe working environment and champion our safety culture.
• Provide technical direction and support for Trade Partners and field crews in daily construction activities.
• Provide construction and schedule updates to project management team.
• Assist with coordination of client submittals, site logistics plans, and as-built documentation.
• Attend site visits with client and subcontractors.
• Coordinate RFIs and maintain log; support RFQs and bid submittals.
