JLL Technologies Warsaw is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to join the on-site or Poland-wide remote team. You will develop and maintain data governance programs for a major client, focusing on data standards, master data, and metadata documentation.

This role embeds in the on-Account organization to ensure data quality and governance across services. Responsibilities include stakeholder management, creation of data dictionaries, and driving data stewardship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data governance/management experience in an enterprise environment.
• Strong client relationship management experience.
• Experience in a role of business analyst or similar.
• Familiarity with database management processes.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle and how governance impacts business processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Client Account Data Governance policies and standards.
• Establish and develop Client Account data governance and management framework across service lines.
• Oversee Master Data Management for critical property data elements.
• Daily business communication and relationship building with stakeholders to solve data issues.
• Create and maintain metadata documentation, including Data Dictionaries.
• Facilitate meetings with data consumers and stewards to apply governance rules.
• Identify areas for improvement and propose data quality solutions.

About the role

On-site in Warsaw or Poland-wide remote

This role will maintain and develop the data governance and management function for a major client’s account in Industrials vertical. The person will be responsible for building solid and long-term data governance program aimed at reducing organizational risks coming from poor quality of real estate data.

This position will be part of the global specialized Data Governance structures of JLL Technologies and functionally embedded in the on-Account organization.

Specifically, this position will involve:

• Development and maintenance of the Client Account level Data Governance policies, processes, and data standards,
• Establishment and development of Client Account data governance and management framework across service lines to ensure the consistency and integrity of the data,
• Oversight of Master Data Management for critical property data elements,
• Daily business communication and relationship building with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to solve ongoing data issues and democratize knowledge on data, including development of mature Data Stewardship program,
• Creation and maintenance of the metadata documentation, including Data Dictionaries,
• Facilitating meetings with data consumers, data stewards, data producers and other stakeholders to ensure data governance rules and standards are applied to data-related changes and projects,
• Identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions regarding data quality and processes

Required Experience

• 2+ years of data governance / data management related experience in an enterprise environment across multiple application systems and business functions
• Strong experience in client relationship management
• Experience in a role of business analyst or similar
• Familiarity with database management processes
• Knowledge of data lifecycle and data governance and how it impacts business processes

Skills

• Relationship management skills: excellent listening and consultative capability, the ability to influence and negotiate with business and technology partners to drive change, and the ability to take a broad perspective and make key connections
• Good understanding of data quality management (processes and concepts). Knowledge of data governance and how it impacts business processes.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong negotiation and group facilitation skills; ability to move a process forward, while meeting the needs of a variety of clients.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy and ability to make effective decisions and solve problems
• Superior ability to manage, manipulate and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations. Articulate the issues and resolutions via business-friendly communications. Serve as primary day-to-day contact for regional data management issues.
• Familiarity with Tableau and PowerBI (business user) and best practices in data insights delivery
• English at C1+ level (proficient)
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
• Familiarity with SQL
