Job summary

Lufthansa Systems Poland Sp. z o.o. is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build and optimize data pipelines and streaming solutions for the Lufthansa Group. You’ll work with Python and cloud platforms (Azure or GCP) on large-scale data platforms, APIs and data exchanges in an international, Agile environment.

This hybrid role requires strong collaboration, CI/CD experience and a practical approach to deployment automation and data quality, with 2 days per week in Gdańsk.

Qualifications

• Solid Data Engineering experience with Python and at least one major cloud (Azure or GCP).
• Hands-on with Azure Data Factory, Unity Catalog, Databricks and PySpark for pipelines and ingestion.
• Experience building APIs and data-exchange services; familiarity with CI/CD and version control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration skills; comfortable in mixed Linux/Windows environments.
• English at least B2/C1 and experience in international Agile teams.

Tasks

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines, products and streaming solutions
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, integration and delivery
• Create and maintain APIs and integrations for data exchange
• Gather and refine technical and business requirements
• Analyze complex data scenarios and implement solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams
• Contribute to CI/CD, deployment automation and solution improvements
• Provide operational support (10-15% of time)
• Work in an Agile international environment (Jira)

Requirements

What you’ll bring:

• Solid Data Engineering experience (Python, Azure or GCP)

• Strong in data ingestion, transformation, storage, integration
