Job summary

ERGO Technology & Services S.A. (ET&S) invites a Data Engineer to collaborate with Munich Re on data solutions for Global Specialty Insurance.

You will enable data-driven decision-making and support underwriting and claims excellence through analytics. The role focuses on building actionable data assets, data preparation, and creating dashboards with Power BI, while incorporating GenAI to enhance data quality and automation.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Math or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• +1-3 years of experience with data modeling, data intake, and data-curation procedures.
• Experience in the insurance industry.
• Expert SQL skills including experience with Databricks Unity Catalog.
• +2 years of hands-on Python experience.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Experience integrating GenAI into data/analytics workflows: RAG, vector databases/embeddings, semantic search, or document ingestion pipelines.
• Strong oral and written communication in English and good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
