Job summary

Verisk is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the architecture, evolution, and delivery of a modern AWS-native data platform powering underwriting intelligence, GenAI insights, and large-scale content processing.

As a senior IC, you will mentor engineers, define standards, and collaborate with product, platform, and AI teams to build reliable, scalable data systems supporting analytics and AI workloads. Hybrid Poland-based role with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production-grade data platforms.
• Strong Python for data processing and transformation.
• Experience with .NET REST/GraphQL services.
• Hands-on AWS (S3, Batch, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, EKS) and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile software delivery.
• Excellent communication and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines on AWS.
• Own the delivery of cloud-native data solutions (Python, .NET REST/GraphQL).
• Define data architecture, schemas, and data contracts for analytics and GenAI apps.
• Enforce data quality, testing, monitoring, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and product teams on LangGraph-based solutions.
