Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to help enterprise clients shape and execute digital transformation initiatives. You will translate complex business needs into clear, data-driven solutions and work with consultants, data engineers, and product teams across regions to influence strategy, design, and delivery outcomes.

You will collaborate on capturing objectives, documenting requirements, and building business cases while participating in client workshops and pre-sales

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in IT environments, with enterprise-scale solutions
• Proficiency in English and German for collaboration with international teams
• Strong understanding of business operations across domains and industries
• Experience with data environments (data warehouses, data lakes, data marts) and data mapping
• Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Ability to read, write, and validate SQL queries for data analysis
• Experience with Agile and Kanban methodologies within cross-functional delivery teams
• Strong requirements management, scope control, and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of business architecture concepts and project management fundamentals
• Experience supporting discovery, pre-sales, or business development as a subject-matter contributor
• Certifications in business analysis considered a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will help enterprise clients shape and execute their digital transformation initiatives by translating complex business needs into clear, data-driven solutions. Working as part of SoftServe's global Center of Excellence, you will collaborate with consultants, data engineers, and product teams across regions to influence strategy, solution design, and delivery outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capture and articulate the client's business vision, objectives, and constraints, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and solution goals
• Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements and actionable inputs for delivery teams, ensuring shared understanding across stakeholders
• Analyze and document the current ("as-is") state of enterprise solutions, model the target ("to-be") state, and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Define and standardize business and solution requirements using best practices for elicitation, documentation, modeling, and prototyping
• Develop business cases to assess the feasibility, value, and impact of proposed solutions or investments
• Participate in client workshops and the pre-sales process
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, BI specialists, analytics teams, and delivery leads to ensure accurate data flows and solution alignment
• Manage requirements lifecycle and solution scope, applying prioritization techniques and change management practices
• Conduct stakeholder analysis and plan effective communication strategies tailored to the project context and audience needs

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in IT environments, with a strong focus on enterprise-scale solutions and complex client landscapes
• Working proficiency in German (upper-intermediate or higher)
• Solid understanding of enterprise business operations across multiple domains and industries
• Practical knowledge of data environments, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts, with experience in basic data mapping
• Understanding of cloud environments (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Skills to read, write, and validate SQL queries for data analysis, verification, and interpretation purposes
• Experience working with Agile and Kanban methodologies, including collaboration within cross-functional delivery teams
• Strong background in core business analysis techniques, requirements management, scope control, and prioritization
• Familiarity with business architecture concepts and frameworks, as well as project and management fundamentals
• Experience supporting discovery, pre-sales, or business development activities as a trusted subject‑matter contributor
• Confident communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with international teams and senior stakeholders
• Background in data engineering or data science, or hands‑on exposure to these areas (as an advantage)
• Professional certifications such as IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, OCUP 2, OCEB 2 Business Intermediate, or TOGAF Foundation (considered a plus)
