UBS is seeking a Data Services professional in Kraków to support index calculations, data validation, and production releases within the Data Services team. The role requires strong data manipulation skills and experience with SQL, Excel, and Alteryx.

You will collaborate with global teams, ensure data accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvement of data workflows and governance. Fluency in English and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Business Mgmt./Finance/Information Technology.
• Solid knowledge of benchmarks, indices and asset classes, financial instruments.
• Solid experience with reconciliation, root cause analysis, complex troubleshooting and documenting findings.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (Excel/VBA/Macro, SQL) and ETL tool Alteryx.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills; ability to explain technical topics to stakeholders.

• Respond to internal requests to clarify, verify, reconcile, and control security, index, benchmark, and performance data ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Control, analyze, calculate, and maintain systems/databases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of static and time series data across applications.
• Follow, document, and review standard operating procedures to ensure fit for purpose.
• Conduct comprehensive business analysis and define requirements for data management processes and system workflows.
• Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and oversee Production releases, collaborating with data vendors, operations teams, and stakeholders to resolve data issues and ensure adherence to SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

Are you curious about how financial instruments, benchmarks and indices are used within the Asset Management lifecycle? Are you organized and have an eye for detail? Are you motivated by analytical challenges? We’re looking for someone who can:

• Support daily and periodic index calculations, validation and distribution tasks including benchmark setup, maintenance, reconciliation, and deactivation within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) throughout its lifecycle.
• Respond to internal requests to clarify, verify, reconcile, and control security, index, benchmark, and performance data ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Control, analyze, calculate, and maintain systems/databases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of static and time series data across applications.

The team

You will be working in the Data Services team within Group Operations. You will be supporting the day-to-day processes carried out by the Data Services team, which would include providing timely, accurate and complete benchmark, index, and analytics data to the UBS – in line with defined requirements.

Team provides 24*6 coverage to ensure uninterrupted support and assistance to the Asset Management Division. Team members are in Chicago, Zurich, Krakow, Singapore, and Pune.

Your Skills And Experience

• A university degree, ideally in – Business Mgmt. / Finance / Information Technology
• Solid knowledge of benchmarks, indices and asset classes, financial instruments.
• Solid experience with reconciliation, root cause analysis, complex troubleshooting and document findings.
• Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis tools (Excel/VBA/Macro, SQL)and ETL tool (Alteryx).
• Strong communication skills (English) both verbal and written.Able to explain technical and non-technical topics to stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of leading market data platforms (e.g., Rime, Bloomberg, ICE, Refinitiv).
• Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, Shell) to aid in automation.
• Nice to have - experience with tools such as: PowerBI, SimCorp Dimension Platform, Power Automate and other Power Apps.
• Nice to have - familiarity with index licensing, vendor management.
• You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
