Job summary

Vattenfall GmbH is expanding its cloud operations team in Katowice to strengthen governance, IaaS, PaaS, and network operations for the Digital Platform. The role focuses on automation, self-service capabilities, and efficient delivery of services to customers.

The candidate will work across cloud networking, scripting, automation, configuration management, OS support, governance, and security, collaborating with DevOps, security, and development teams to optimize cloud usage.

Qualifications

Academic degree in IT, engineering, science or mathematics.
Interest in new technologies and a fast learner.
Experience with cloud services.
Experience in a large international environment.
Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to translate complicated technical matters into simple language.
Broad profile with depth in one or more technical areas.

Responsibilities

Cloud Networking: design, deploy, and manage cloud-based network architectures; automate provisioning using PowerShell and Bicep/ARM.
Scripting: write scripts in PowerShell and Bash.
Automation and orchestration: create automation based on REST.
Configuration Management: use ARM templates, Bicep, Ansible, or DSC.
OS support: troubleshoot Windows and Linux issues.
Governance: enforce tagging, permissions, naming, and policies; support audits.
Financial analyses: understand cloud cost model and provide guidance on consumption.
Security: respond to Azure Security Center alerts; advise on secure implementations.
Source Code Management (Azure DevOps): manage projects, license management, backlog handling.
