Job summary

The candidate will work across cloud networking, scripting, automation, configuration management, OS support, governance, and security, collaborating with DevOps, security, and development teams to optimize cloud usage.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Networking: design, deploy, and manage cloud-based network architectures; automate provisioning using PowerShell and Bicep/ARM.
• Scripting: write scripts in PowerShell and Bash.
• Automation and orchestration: create automation based on REST.
• Configuration Management: use ARM templates, Bicep, Ansible, or DSC.
• OS support: troubleshoot Windows and Linux issues.
• Governance: enforce tagging, permissions, naming, and policies; support audits.
• Financial analyses: understand cloud cost model and provide guidance on consumption.
• Security: respond to Azure Security Center alerts; advise on secure implementations.
• Source Code Management (Azure DevOps): manage projects, license management, backlog handling.

Overview

We need to strengthen our cloud operations team with an additional colleague who is driven by technical challenges and the urge to always find better and more efficient ways of delivering services to the customer. The Digital Platform Operation Team is a multi‑competence team operating the Vattenfall Digital Platform. The role involves governance, IaaS, PaaS, network operation, monitoring support, Azure DevOps support, and capacity management. Automation and self‑service functionality are key.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Networking
  • Understanding cloud‑on‑prem connectivity (ExpressRoute, MPLS, BGP)
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud‑based network architectures (e.g., VPCs, subnets, routing, PaaS specific subnet creation, network segmentation, private endpoints)
  • Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to integrate networking solutions
  • Automate network infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like PowerShell and Bicep/ARM
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues in cloud environments
  • Knowledge in designing and operating Next‑Gen Firewall environments, ideally Check Point
• Scripting
