Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to serve as a Technology Lead for a product team delivering investor-facing solutions for a leading asset manager. You will drive full-stack backend development with microservices and APIs on a cloud-native AWS architecture, guiding legacy modernization and architecture adoption.

You will own technology governance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor engineers while ensuring high-quality outcomes in a client-facing setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 8+ years designing microservices, REST APIs, and front-end apps.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot backend experience for microservices.
• Cloud-native AWS expertise (EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, EKS, etc.).
• Proficient in cloud-native microservices architecture with AWS.
• Excellent English communication; client-facing role.
• Agile experience; hands-on technology leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the technology solution and team output; ensure quality.
• Provide technology leadership and guide technical decisions.
• Remove obstacles across the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with architects, CTO, and cross-functional teams.
• Understand requirements and build compliant, high-quality solutions.
