Job summary

Limango Polska Sp. z o.o. is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to manage our AWS-based platform across Kubernetes and IaC tooling. You’ll partner with development teams to enable self-service deployments and maintain guardrails for cost and security.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup with two days in the Wrocław office and flexible remote options across Poland. English is the internal working language, with German/Polish as pluses.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud infra in production, preferably AWS.
• Proficient with Kubernetes, EKS, and GitOps tooling.
• Strong understanding of security, cost governance, and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and evolve AWS EKS clusters with upgrades and configurations.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules for infra and apps.
• Improve GitLab CI, Argo CD, and Istio-based deployment & traffic management.
• Operate core platform services: networking, IAM, backups.
• Support security/compliance with AWS Security Hub and SCPs.

YOUR ROLE AND MAIN TASKS

About The Role

You'll join our cloud platform team, responsible for operating the AWS platform end to end: Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD tooling, monitoring, security and cost governance. We work closely with application teams, providing them with templates, guardrails and hands‑on consulting so they can deploy and run their own workloads autonomously wherever that makes sense.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and evolve our AWS EKS (Kubernetes) clusters, including upgrades, plugins and configuration.
• Build and maintain Terraform modules and templates for infrastructure and application dependencies (databases, queues, caches, permissions), used self‑service by development teams.
• Support and improve our GitLab CI, Argo CD and Istio‑based deployment and traffic management setup.
• Operate core platform services: networking, foundation services, IAM, and centralized backup.
• Contribute to our centralized monitoring and logging stack.
• Work on security and compliance topics using AWS Security Hub and SCPs, partnering with development teams on findings.
• Consult development teams on AWS service choices and application design, and support their adoption of Terraform and Argo CD.
• Support our GCP footprint, particularly Firebase and BigQuery, alongside our core AWS platform.

What We Expect

• Several years of hands‑on experience operating cloud infrastructure in production, ideally on AWS.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS or similar), Argo CD and Istio, and infrastructure as code (Terraform or comparable).
• Familiarity with GitOps‑style deployment tooling and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or similar).
• Working knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS/DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch.
• Practical knowledge of GCP, specifically Firebase and BigQuery.
• A security- and cost-conscious mindset, and the ability to explain trade‑offs clearly to development teams.
• Good written and spoken English (our internal working language); German or Polish is a plus but not required.
