Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Chief Forward Deployed Engineer in Poland to lead the design and delivery of AI-native systems. You will shape agent-based workflows, implement robust evaluation, and ensure reliable production deployments with strong client-facing collaboration.

The role requires advanced Python expertise, deep knowledge of AI/LLM tooling, and the ability to communicate complex trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Hybrid work within Poland is available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years engineering experience building production AI/LLM applications
• Strong agent-design judgment for harness/context matching
• Ability to work directly with SMEs and end-users and explain trade-offs

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship AI-native systems end-to-end (agents, workflows, RAG, harness)
• Build evaluation pipelines to prove usefulness
• Design for failure and implement observability and policy controls
• Capture reusable domain workflows for repeat engagements
• Write production-grade Python and integrations
• Collaborate with SMEs and end-users through interviews and UAT
