Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end AI applications, including chatbots and agent workflows, using LLM-driven solutions. You will collaborate with clients to understand needs, architect data pipelines, and optimize AI performance at scale.

The role demands deep Python expertise, experience with FastAPI, UI prototyping, and familiarity with major LLM platforms and cloud/on‑prem deployment. Hybrid work within Poland offered.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and web frameworks (FastAPI or similar).
• Experience with rapid UI prototyping using Streamlit, Gradio, or similar.
• Familiarity with major LLM platforms and APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Gemini).
• Knowledge of advanced AI integration patterns (RAG, Agents).
• Experience deploying AI solutions at scale with performance and cost considerations.
• Proven track record in AI engineering and ML-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end AI applications including chatbots and agent workflows.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and propose LLM-driven solutions.
• Develop and manage robust data pipelines, prompts, and datasets for accurate models.
• Evaluate and refine AI system performance ensuring accuracy, security, and scalability.
• Conduct research and rapid prototyping to validate technical feasibility and business value.
• Stay current with evolving LLM technologies and frameworks to improve solutions.
