Job summary

J.P. Morgan seeks a Capital Analytics & Solutions Analyst within the Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) team to transform complex regulatory capital requirements into clear, trusted insights that drive better decisions.

You will work at the intersection of regulatory capital, quantitative analysis, technology, and business partnership, helping ensure accurate capital reporting and compliance through AI-assisted development tools and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of full-time experience in finance, risk, data analysis, technology, or a related analytical role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related analytical discipline.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience manipulating or analysing structured data.
• Familiarity with Python, Excel, data visualization, or dashboard development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable explaining technical analysis to non-technical stakeholders.
• Practical experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in developing, enhancing, and maintaining capital analytics models under guidance.
• Analyze large datasets to identify business insights.
• Build prototypes and analytic workflows to improve capital reporting accuracy and timeliness.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into data definitions and controls with senior input.
• Use AI-assisted tools to support coding, prototyping, and documentation while following quality standards.
• Collaborate with Product Controllers, Risk, and Technology to gather requirements and share results.
• Contribute to documentation, testing, reconciliation, process improvement, and best practices.
